Always on connection
ADSL provides you with an always on presence on the Internet,
allowing you to use the Internet all day, every day without
extra call charges being applied. ADSL does NOT tie up your
phoneline so you can surf and talk without disruption.
1 Month Contract Length
Unlike most ISPs who will tie you to a 12 or even 18 month
contract we only apply a 1 month contract length. No hidden
clauses, and no hidden costs.
ADSL Activation [For new ADSL subscribers]
If you are new to ADSL then you will need to get activated
on your BT phone line. This is for many a one-off process
that will kickstart your Broadband usage. Currently BT charge
us £50 to activate a new line. Rather that applying
12 month contracts to try and claw back this cost we pass
across to you what we are charged by BT. Once activated all
you pay is your monthly subscription cost.
ADSL Migration [For customers who already have an
ADSL connection]
If you already have an ADSL connection with another ISP you
can migrate to our Internet services for £14. All you
need to do is ask your ISP for a MAC code which is effectively
their authorisation for the migration.
ADSL Account Upgrades
All customers are free to upgrade their ADSL line speed at
anytime subject to their line supporting such speeds. There
is a one-off charge of £14 for the upgrade.
Backup local-rate dialup
Reliable pay-as-you-go dialup internet access included. 0845
local call rates - no ties and no subscription fees.
Router or Modem?
We strongly recommend using an ADSL router rather than the
cheaper USB Modem for the following reasons:
1. A Router allows many PCs to be connected at the same time.
2. Most PCs have Ethernet connections installed, and if not
then cards are cheap and readily available.
3. Improved security, routers have a built-in NAT firewall,
modems can leave your computer exposed to malware.
4. If something goes wrong, a router is easier to debug and
fix or replace than a USB Modem.
